It’s Fall in Spring Hill Tennessee! It’s that time of year to plan a trip to the farms and pumpkin patches to stock up on pumpkins and officially mark the start of Autumn with fall fun activities!
My Favorite time of year has always been and will always be Fall. My greatest memory of fall as a child was visiting Gene The Pumpkin Man to pick out the perfect pumpkin. If you are one of the many who relocated to Spring Hill from southwest Michigan, than you know Gene The Pumpkin Man. I recall so vividly riding in the back of my mom’s car and seeing in the distance a Large Orange Barn, yes that is right, Orange. Gene panted everything Orange, his car, his tractor and his barn.
I still remember the smell of the dusty pumpkin and the feel of the straw poking me in the back through my knitted sweater as we took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch to pick the biggest, best pumpkin of the season!
Spring Hill is a central location to a lot of great Pumpkin Patches and Farms filled with Fall Activities. As my children were growing up we visited a few of these farms from the Franklin to the Eagleville. Gentry’s Farm in Franklin, The Ring Farm in Columbia, Lucky Ladd Farms in Eagleville where just a few we visited the most. These farm offer Mazes, rides, petting zoos, craft activities, hey rides and of course PUMKINS!!!
